CHARITY EVENT: Brave the Shave / Macmillan Cancer Support
Hello!
I'm Miss Ronckier, and I will be doing a Brave the Shave challenge on the 17th of July on Tweedies, after school, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. I'll make my way over for 3.30pm and one of our leaving Year 11’s will be cutting my hair. I've already had suggestions for options aside from the obvious buzzcut so I'm still unsure what we will settle on!
I'm doing this in homage to Hélène, a girl who was at my primary school when I first joined it at around 8 years old, and who unfortunately passed away within a few months of my meeting her. I couldn't help her then and the memory stuck with me.
Fast forward a couple decades and I found out about Macmillan Cancer Support's Brave the Shave, as well as the Little Princess Trust, and that was just perfect to try and help other children and grownups facing their own battle with cancer. So, I "braved the shave" in 2018, with amazing support from the Braunton community.
Now my hair is long enough to have another go. Considering how much of it is turning grey, this might be the last donation I can make to the Little Princess Trust though.
I am signed up as Steph Ronckier, so if anyone wants to donate you can go to the Macmillan Brave The Shave website, "Donate to Shavers", and type "Steph Ronckier" to find me.
Here's the direct link if it's easier:
