English Schools Championship Performers

Over the weekend, three of our talented students travelled to Birmingham to compete at the prestigious English Schools Athletics Championships, proudly representing Devon against some of the very best young athletes in the country.

Competing on the national stage is a remarkable achievement in itself, and our athletes certainly rose to the occasion with some outstanding performances.

Amelie

Amelie produced an exceptional run in the 300m final, finishing an impressive 6th place despite competing against athletes older than her. Her performance now ranks her as the 6th fastest Inter Girls 300m athlete in the country, a fantastic accomplishment and testament to her hard work and dedication.

Quentin

Quentin competed strongly in the 200m, finishing 4th in his heat and narrowly missing out on a place in the final. However, the weekend ended on a high as he was later crowned National Champion as part of the victorious 4 x 100m relay team — an incredible achievement on the national stage.

Congratulations

A huge congratulations to all three students who earned the honour of representing Devon and competing against the best young athletes in England. Their commitment, determination and performances have made both their county and school extremely proud.
