Year 5 Taster Day
It is always exciting to welcome future students to our school, and on Thursday 16th July we were delighted to host our very first Year 5 Taster Day for pupils from local primary schools.
The event was designed to give students and their families an opportunity to begin building strong relationships with our school community and establish open lines of communication ahead of their transition to secondary education.
Throughout the day, students enjoyed a tour of the school, spent time getting to know members of our dedicated tutor team and experienced life as a secondary school student. They also took part in two taster lessons, choosing from a range of subjects including Maths, English, Science, Technology, Art and Drama. The sessions provided a fun and engaging glimpse into the exciting learning opportunities available at our school.
The day concluded with an assembly in the Isaac Hall, which parents were warmly invited to attend. This was a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the day's activities and celebrate the enthusiasm and confidence shown by all those who took part.
The Taster Day was a great success, and it was fantastic to see so many young people embracing the experience with such positivity and curiosity. We would like to thank all the students, parents and primary school staff who supported the event, and we look forward to welcoming these students back in the future as they continue their educational journey with us.
It was truly lovely to meet our students of the future, and we cannot wait to see what they achieve in the years ahead.
