Summer Concert 2026

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Summer Concert and braved the heat to support our students. Your encouragement and enthusiasm helped create a fantastic atmosphere and made the evening a memorable celebration of music.

The concert showcased the exceptional standard of musicianship we are fortunate to enjoy at our school. From soloists to ensembles, our performers demonstrated remarkable talent, commitment and confidence, reflecting the many hours they have dedicated to rehearsing and refining their skills throughout the year.

Most importantly, congratulations to all of the musicians who performed. Your hard work, perseverance and energy were evident in every performance, and you should be immensely proud of what you achieved. The concert was a fitting celebration of your dedication and passion for music.

We would also like to recognise and thank the students who worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Although not performing on stage themselves, their efforts with lighting, sound and stage management ensured the concert ran smoothly from beginning to end. Their efficiency was so impressive that everyone was able to get home in time for the World Cup match afterwards—a feat deserving of its own round of applause!

A special thank you goes to our peripatetic music teachers for their continued support, expertise and encouragement throughout the year. In particular, we would like to thank Tim Parker, whose commitment to our students, both through instrumental lessons and his invaluable support of Music Club, played a significant role in making this concert such a success.

Finally, we would like to thank our music teacher, Mr Vickery, for all he has contributed to the department and our students. His enthusiasm, dedication and musical expertise have been greatly appreciated, and while we are sorry that he won't be returning to teach music in September, we wish him every success and happiness in his future endeavours.
