A Fantastic Final Session at The VOLE

This week marked the final session for our first group over at The VOLE (Vocational Outdoor Learning Environment), and what a brilliant end it was. The pupils spent the afternoon whittling and fire lighting, putting into practice the outdoor skills they’ve been building and refining over the past few weeks.

It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they revisited techniques they had learned earlier in the programme. From careful carving to safely creating and managing a fire, the group showed real focus, teamwork and enthusiasm.

Perhaps the best feedback came directly from the pupils themselves, who were full of smiles and reluctant to see the experience come to an end. Several of them asked if they could do it all again next year — a clear sign of how much they’ve enjoyed and valued their time at The VOLE.

We’re incredibly proud of everything they’ve achieved and look forward to welcoming future groups to continue the adventure.
