Year 10 Students Explore Future Pathways at Local Colleges
Last week, our Year 10 students were given an exciting opportunity to begin planning their next steps beyond Braunton Academy through visits to two of the region's leading further education providers.
A Day at North Devon College
On Wednesday 1 July, the entire Year 10 cohort visited North Devon College to experience life as a college student and explore a wide range of academic and vocational courses.
Students interested in A Levels took part in taster lessons across a variety of subjects, including:

The visit gave students valuable insight into the breadth of courses available after Year 11 and helped them begin considering which pathways best match their interests, talents and career aspirations.
Experiencing Exeter College
The following day, Thursday 2 July, a group of 43 Year 10 students travelled to Exeter College to take part in a second day of taster sessions.

Both visits provided our students with an invaluable opportunity to experience college life first-hand, speak with specialist staff and current students, and gain a better understanding of the wide range of courses and career pathways available to them after Year 11.
The days were informative, engaging and inspiring, helping students to make more informed decisions about their future education and career aspirations.
