Our incredible Year 7 football team have once again shown their talent, determination, and team spirit on the national stage — and this time, they’ve made history.

We are thrilled to announce that the team has reached the last 16 of the Schools Football Under 12 Cup, marking the furthest a Braunton side has ever progressed in this prestigious competition. This is a phenomenal achievement and a moment that secures their place in the school’s sporting record books.

A Hard‑Fought Victory
Today’s match saw Braunton travel away to face a strong Millfield School side. In a tense and competitive game, our players showed outstanding resilience and discipline, securing a 1–0 victory to book their place in the next round.

Their teamwork, focus, and commitment were evident from the first whistle to the last, and the result is a testament to the hard work they’ve put in throughout the season.

Eyes on the Quarter‑Finals
The journey doesn’t stop here. Next week, the team will travel to Downend (Bristol) for a chance to earn a place in the Quarter‑Finals. It promises to be another exciting challenge, and the whole school community will be cheering them on as they continue their remarkable run.

🌟 A Moment of Pride
Reaching this stage of the competition is an achievement that reflects not only the players’ skill and determination, but also the dedication of their coaches and the support of families, staff, and teammates.

We couldn’t be prouder of what our Year 7s have accomplished so far — and we can’t wait to see what they do next.
