Wakeboarding Success for Henry in Year 9
Over the half‑term break, Year 9 student Henry took part in an incredible opportunity at the Great British Wake Camp held at Luna Cable Park in Spain. This prestigious, invite‑only camp brings together the country’s most promising young wakeboarders — and Henry earned his place through consistent podium finishes at the last three national championships.
Throughout the week, Henry trained alongside the UK’s top junior riders, developing his technical skills, physical conditioning and understanding of what it takes to perform at an elite level. The experience offered world‑class coaching and a chance to push his abilities in a highly competitive environment.
Henry will be competing in multiple national and international events this year, with the ambitious goal of securing a place on the Team GB Cable Wakeboarding Squad. His dedication, talent and work ethic continue to impress, and we are incredibly proud of everything he has achieved so far.
The very best of luck from all of us at Braunton Academy as he continues his journey in the sport.
