National Champion Success for Year 9 Pupil Kitty

Year 9 pupil Kitty enjoyed an exceptional summer at the Surf Life Saving GB National Nipper Championships, held at Holywell Bay, where she delivered a series of remarkable performances and established herself as one of the country's leading young surf lifesavers.

As Club Captain of Woolacombe Surf Life Saving Club, Kitty became UK National Champion in all three individual sea events she entered, taking gold in the Surf Race, Board Race, and Golden Nipper competitions.

Her success did not stop there. Across the championships, Kitty achieved an outstanding five podium finishes from six individual events, demonstrating incredible consistency and versatility throughout the competition. With a total of 110 points, she was crowned the highest-scoring competitor across all age groups, a truly exceptional achievement.

Kitty's performances were instrumental in helping Woolacombe Surf Life Saving Club secure the overall National Nipper Championship title, showcasing not only her individual talent but also her commitment to her team.

Having been involved with the club since the age of six, Kitty's success is the result of years of dedication, training, and hard work. Her achievements, combined with her leadership as Club Captain, make her an outstanding role model both within her club and at the Academy.
