Stephens Shield Cross Country Success

On Friday 16th, we took 52 students to compete in the annual Stephens Shield Cross Country event, a competition in which Braunton Academy has enjoyed considerable success over many years.

Once again, our students produced some outstanding performances against strong competition. Individual highlights included:-

• Ashton (Year 11) claiming 1st place

• Mahi (Year 11) finishing 2nd

• Kush (Year 9) securing 1st place

• Kitty (Year 9) taking 2nd place

• Lani (Year 7) finishing 2nd place

• Sonny (Year 8) achieving an impressive 4th place

• Carys (Year 10) earning 3rd place.

Every student represented the Academy with determination and resilience throughout the day, doing Braunton Academy proud once again. We now eagerly await the overall team results and look forward to our next cross-country fixture at West Buckland.

Well done to all involved! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
