Paris Adventure: A Journey to Remember
In the early hours of Tuesday, 9th July, a group of excited students and staff set off from school at 5am, ready for an unforgettable adventure to Paris. After a smooth journey to Dover, we boarded the 12:20pm ferry to Dunkerque. The crossing was a delight—calm seas and sunshine made for a perfect start to our trip.
We continued our journey through France, arriving in Paris around 8pm. After settling into our rooms, we enjoyed a relaxed buffet tea at 9pm, recharging for the busy day ahead.
The next morning began bright and early at 6:30am. After breakfast, we headed straight to the Eiffel Tower. The weather was glorious—hot and sunny—and spirits were high. Students and staff climbed to the second stage of the tower, where they were rewarded with breathtaking views across the city.
Following our visit, we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park, right in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower. Then it was time for a river boat cruise on the Seine, where we took in iconic sights including the Louvre, Notre Dame, and the Eiffel Tower from a new perspective.
Our next stop was the charming district of Montmartre, where students had a short time to browse for souvenirs. We then climbed the steps to the Sacre-Coeur Basilica, where more stunning views awaited us.
The day ended with a fun and engaging treasure hunt around Montmartre. Students were split into five teams and challenged to solve riddles and complete a word search to find the hidden treasure. Congratulations to Miss Ronckier’s team, who emerged victorious after discovering the treasure in the children’s playground!
On the final day, we began our journey back to the UK. Once again, the ferry crossing was smooth and sunny, providing a peaceful end to our adventure.
Throughout the trip, our students were impeccably behaved, showing great enthusiasm, respect, and teamwork. It was a truly memorable experience, and we’re incredibly proud of how they represented our school.
