My name is Carey McLoughlin.  I have been a teacher for 24 years.  I am lucky enough to have taught in lots of different settings around the world.  I have been at Braunton Academy for 4 years.  I am looking forward to welcoming our Year 7s to the Academy and watching them grow and achieve over the next 5 years.

Year 7 is a very exciting year as students have changed schools, met new friends and teachers. 

They study subjects they have never studied, and as individuals start to develop independence in their learning, aspiring and achieving.

Towards the end of the year, Year 7 go to the Milky Way as a year group.  Pupils, tutors and staff really enjoy this opportunity to spend time with each other.
