Potion Bottles Project

Our Year 8 students have truly impressed us with their creativity and imagination in a recent homework task that was anything but ordinary. Tasked with designing and crafting their own magical potion bottles, pupils went above and beyond to produce a stunning array of mystical concoctions.

Displayed in a charming old shop window style, the collection features potions with wonderfully inventive names such as:

🕷️ Spider Eyes
🧙 Constant Curses
🧜 Mermaid Dandruff
🕸️ Black Widow Venom

Using materials like food dye, oil and water mixtures, glitter, mica powder, and plastic beads, students created visually striking bottles. Many also wrote imaginative instructions for how their potions should be used, complete with beautifully designed labels and wax-sealed lids.

There was even one memorable mishap—a seashell included in one potion caused the contents to ferment and pop the bottle apart! A truly potent brew!

This task has been a fantastic showcase of artistic flair, storytelling, and hands-on creativity.
