Year 6 Transition Days – Welcoming the Class of 2030!

As part of their exciting journey into secondary school, the Class of 2030 took part in a two-day transition programme on Wednesday 2nd and Thursday 3rd July. The event offered incoming Year 6 students a warm welcome, a taste of life at their new school, and a chance to forge friendships and lasting memories.

Day 1 – Team Spirit & Tutor Time: The first day saw students immersed in activities with their new tutors, getting to know their peers and learning the ropes of their future school environment. The day concluded on a high note with an Athletics house competition — a test of teamwork, enthusiasm, and school pride. Congratulations to Saunton House for claiming the victory!

Day 2 – A Slice of Secondary School Life: Thursday offered the students a full timetable experience, rotating through lessons in Maths, Science, English, Art, Drama, Geography, and Personal Development. From calculating equations to expressing creativity in the studio, each session showcased the rich and varied curriculum that awaits them in Year 7.

Celebration Assembly – The Journey Begins: The transition programme ended with a Celebration Assembly attended by many proud parents. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and encouragement as staff, students, and families came together to mark this important milestone.

With beaming smiles and curious minds, the Class of 2030 has already begun their journey - full of possibilities, growth, and new adventures. We’re thrilled to welcome them to our school community!
