Parenting Plus Adolescents Course
Parenting Plus Adolescents is a course for parents of children aged 11-16yrs. The course is run over 9 weeks which includes an induction week (the course does not run in school holidays), is free to attend and refreshments will be provided.
The program is evidence-based and considers how parents can connect and build good relationships with their teenage children, while also being firm and influential in their lives.
The topics that will be covered include Understanding teenagers, Connecting with your teenager, Communicating positively and effectively, Building your teenager’s self-esteem and confidence, Negotiating rules and boundaries, Teaching teenagers responsibility, Positive discipline for teenagers, Managing conflict, Solving problems together.

361 Energy CIC is a not for profit social enterprise whose aims are to promote energy saving and renewable energy in North Devon.
It’s estimated that 1 in 5 households with children live in fuel poverty. This means high fuel costs = more than 10% of the family income. Fuel poverty can lead to health problems and has an impact on attendance, grades and participation in sport.
361 energy have secured funding to provide the following free services:
In-home energy visits to offer practical energy saving solutions
Advice on energy and water debt including debt write off
Energy efficiency funding for home improvements
Free energy saving measures such as LED lightbulbs

or call in at weekly clinics Tuesdays 10-1pm at Barnstaple Library or Ilfracombe Transform Centre and see how much you could save. Last year local families saved on average between £200 and £3000.
