South Molton Rotary Club recently challenged pupils to construct a vehicle that can travel in a straight line along a set course under its own power. Eighteen pupils from year 9 accepted the challenge, and worked in teams of three to design and make their entries. Some ingenious designing was evident, and also excellent team-working skills. After each team demonstrated their design and presented their plans, a winning team and runner-up team were selected by the Rotary Club representatives. Congratulations to Team Hydroblast and Team Ecomachine who all received a cash prize.
