Year 8 London Trip

Around 40 year 8 students recently enjoyed a fantastic trip to London over three days and two nights. The lucky pupils visited the Tower of London and took part in a workshop on Elizabethan times and archeaology, HMS Belfast and Tate Modern. During a visit to the Houses of Parliament Mrs Murphy engaged in a debate on funding of the NHS with our local MP Peter Heaton-Jones. The Sea Life Centre and London Dungeons were also on the itinerary, followed by a West End show, The Lion King. On the final day, students visited the Natural History Museum and Science Museum including a visit to the new installation, "Wonderlab", which was amazing. On the journey home, a stop was made at Stonehenge. Some comments from students on the trip.... "I enjoyed the London Dungeons because I've never been and have always wanted to go." Emer.
